Thank you for signing up to attend the 2020 Frothy Forage at Riveredge Nature Center. We appreciate your flexibility in offering to join for our augmented summer date of Saturday, August 15.
Riveredge has decided, due to a convergence of factors, to cancel the 2020 Frothy Forage. Several issues have arisen including safety considerations, health department recommendations, as well as the desire to ensure a quality guest and purveyor experience. To make a long story short, if we can’t ensure a safe, quality experience for everyone involved, we aren’t going to offer an experience that is marginal by comparison to expectations.
So we’ve made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 Frothy Forage, with the plan to resume our original spring Frothy Forage for 2021. We apologize for this cancellation, please just know that we have everyone’s best interest in mind in coming to this conclusion.
THANK YOU for your flexibility in working with Riveredge during this awkward and constantly changing Covid-19 landscape. We hope that you will be able to join us for the 2021 Frothy Forage on Saturday, May 22.
If you would like a refund for your ticket purchase price, that is completely understandable, and refunds can be granted by clicking this link and filling out the requested information by Saturday, August 15. After August 15, any outstanding ticket funds will be presumed as a donation to Riveredge. There is no need to cancel time slots reserved to participate in the Frothy Trail Hike.
Thank you for being a part of Riveredge Nature Center, and we look forward to clinking glasses with you on Saturday, May 22 of next year. |

Looking for free and easy ways to help Riveredge grow?
As a community resource, Riveredge thrives off the passion and support of the incredible Riveredge family. If you're looking for some easy ways to help Riveredge grow, we've got a few ideas below. Thanks so much for all you do!
- Leave a review! With a small marketing budget, we really depend on word of mouth to help reach new people. If you enjoy and appreciate Riveredge, would you mind leaving a quick review on TripAdvisor, Google, or Facebook to help new visitors discover the natural wonder that awaits?
- Charitable checking - If you're a member of Cornerstore Community Bank or looking to join, did you know you can open a "Charitable Checking" account, designate Riveredge as your charity of choice, and Cornerstore will automatically give a donation equal to 1% of the average balance in your checking account each year? It's a super simple and free way to give!
- Thrivent Choice - Thrivent Financial Members can support Riveredge through the Thrivent Choice ® program. Don’t let Choice Dollars expire (the deadline is March 31st annually). To learn more and sign up, visit Thrivent Choice.
- Amazon Smile - Do you shop on Amazon? AmazonSmile is a great program that automatically donates 0.5% of your purchases to charity. All you need to do is shop through the special AmazonSmile link and designate Riveredge as your charity of choice!
- Company Matching - Many workplaces, like United Health Group, will offer to match their employees' charitable giving. If you're donating to Riveredge already (thank you!) be sure to check to see if your employer will double your impact at no extra cost! P.S. Riveredge memberships totally count for this!
- Leave a legacy - We encourage those who love us most to consider leaving your legacy gift to Riveredge through beneficiary designation or allocation in your will. This will ensure Riveredge’s financial sustainability long into the future.
- Bring a friend - Remember that word of mouth thing? There's no one we trust more than our friends and family, so why not invite a friend along with you to your next Riveredge hike or program and show them the magic firsthand!

Did you know individuals aged 72 (or 70 ½ prior to January 2020) may donate to charity up to $100,000 annually through their traditional Individual Retirement Accounts? The donation must be made directly from the IRA plan administrator to the qualified charity, such as Riveredge! These distributions can count toward your “required minimum distribution” (RMD), which would normally be taxable when distributed to you. We invite you to partner with us to bring nature into schools and communities throughout southeastern Wisconsin by making an investment in Riveredge. If this is a possibility for you, please contact Jessica Jens, Executive Director, at 262-416-1068 or jjens@riveredge.us. Thank you!
